Fire at Cracau Hospital
August 24, 2026 - Following a fire on a gastroenterology ward at Cracau Hospital, approximately 70 patients were safely evacuated within a very short time. One patient suffered smoke inhalation, and two others sustained minor injuries. Medical care remains available; the operating rooms, emergency room, and intensive care unit are still in operation. Parts of Ward B remain closed for the time being; the cause of the fire is under investigation.

August 21, 2026 - FCM pro Lubambo Musonda underwent successful surgery at Magdeburg University Hospital following his Achilles tendon rupture. As he works his way back onto the field, he will now be under the care of the sports traumatology department. This continues the partnership with 1. FC Magdeburg, which has been in place for eleven seasons.
