Range of services in pediatric intensive care medicine
Range of Services:
- after a serious accident/polytrauma
- for scalds and burns up to a certain degree of severity
- after severe intoxication
- for major operations and for pre- and post-operative care of complex surgical procedures in cooperation with other specialist disciplines, such as pediatric surgery, pediatric orthopedics, pediatric neurosurgery, and colleagues from ENT/MKG.
- in the case of life-threatening infections such as sepsis (“blood poisoning”), meningitis (meningitis) or pneumonia (pneumonia)
- severe lung disease, including invasive/non-invasive ventilation techniques and high-frequency ventilation; ventilation weaning; monitoring of home ventilation
- in the event of a serious illness of the nervous system
- If your child has a known metabolic disorder in collaboration with our pediatric endocrinologists
- in the event of severe kidney disease, including dialysis in cooperation with our pediatric nephrology department
- when performing short anesthesia and analgosedation for minor invasive procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, diagnostic punctures, radiological interventions)
- accompanying patients on transportation to and from other hospitals/clinics
